The City of greenville annual action plan 2023 - 2024
notice of public meeting and commment period
A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30 pm at McPherson Park Log Cabin, 100 E. Park Avenue.
The City’s Community Development division will discuss the 2023 - 2024 program year’s activities and funding allocations. This part of the planning process allows the public to comment and provide input on Community Development’s proposed activities and projects as the Annual Action Plan is developed for submittal.
Submission of the Annual Action Plan serves as the City’s application for funding under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. CDBG funds can be used to assist low and moderate income persons, to prevent or eliminate slum or blight, and to meet an urgent need. HOME funds are primarily used to create affordable housing opportunities for low to moderate income persons. HOPWA funding is used to assist individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families with short term rent, mortgage and utility assistance, supportive services and Tenant-Based Rental Assistance.
A draft Annual Action Plan is available for review beginning Wednesday, April 5, 2023 online at: http://www.greenvillesc.gov/265/Community-Development. A printed copy can be requested.
Written or emailed comments will be accepted until the end of the day on Friday, May 5, 2023 and can be sent to: Community Development, P.O. Box 2207, Greenville, SC 29602,
Attn: Ashlee Tolbert, Community Development Planner or e-mailed to: atolbert@greenvillesc.gov
