The City of Greenville utilizes a consolidated development code to publish its zoning and land development regulations (effective January 1, 2008).
To address immediate concerns, City Council passed three rounds of temporary development code updates in the summer of 2021. Find information on those code updates below.
In April 2021, City Council adopted a resolution to direct city staff to provide interim solutions to protect neighborhoods while working to update its Land Management Ordinance.
City Council adopted all of the Round 2 text amendments and gave final approval unanimously at the July 12, 2021, City Council meeting.
The third round of text amendments were approved by the Planning Commission at its July 15 meeting, and by City Council in August 2021.
